Neuroscience Specialists was founded in 1948 by Dr. A.C. Lisle, M.D., as one of the first dedicated neurosurgical practices in Oklahoma. Over the following decades, the practice grew steadily — attracting fellowship-trained surgeons from the nation's leading academic centers and establishing itself as the premier destination for neurosurgical care in the state.
Today, our seven-surgeon team is recognized as Oklahoma's most established independent neurosurgical group. Our physicians bring training from Johns Hopkins, UCLA, the Mayo Clinic, Wake Forest, Northwestern, Indiana University, and the University of Florida — a depth of expertise rarely found outside major academic centers.
We operate from our main office in Oklahoma City and perform the majority of our surgical procedures at SSM Oklahoma Spine Hospital — a physician-owned facility designed specifically for spine surgery and managed by our team.
