Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective treatment. Our practice offers comprehensive imaging and neurophysiologic testing to support precise evaluation of spine and neurological conditions.
MRI provides detailed soft-tissue imaging without radiation, making it the gold standard for evaluating the spine, spinal cord, discs, and nerve roots. It is typically the first advanced imaging study ordered for patients with spine or neurological symptoms.
CT scanning provides cross-sectional imaging with excellent bony detail, making it valuable for assessing fractures, bony anatomy, and surgical planning. CT is often used in conjunction with MRI or when MRI is not available.
EMG and nerve conduction studies assess the electrical activity of muscles and the speed of nerve signals. These tests help localize nerve or muscle dysfunction and are particularly valuable for distinguishing between spinal and peripheral nerve conditions.
